Sometimes I crosspost my various witty remarks - such as they are - over here at InsaneJournal. If you have an account at InsaneJournal, please feel free to add me there.

If not, then the fabulous [info]marginalia has created a feed that will allow you to get a truncated post on your LJ flist when I post over at IJ. You can add that feed here.

Books in Review - April 2008
Details under the cut-tag!

Read in April: In a Sunburned Country, The Gate of Ivory, I'm a Stranger Here Myself: Notes on Returning to America After 20 Years Away, Eight Men and a Duck, It's Not News, It's Fark: How Mass Media Tries to Pass Off Crap As News, One Day the Ice Will Reveal All Its Dead, Two Bit Heroes, You Grow Girl: The Groundbreaking Guide to Gardening, Guilt Edged Ivory, Bridget Jones' Diary, Mrs.P's Journey: The Remarkable Story of the Woman Who Created the AZ Map, Sovereign, The Man in the Queue )

I've got a new reading project: READ WHAT YOU'VE GOT. I've put myself on a vacation from the library, and I'm not going to take out any more library books until I've read a certain amount of books I already own. I haven't decided yet if it's going to be a certain number of books (10? 20?) or a time limit (until August? September?) but I currently have NOTHING out from the library and I intend to keep it that way for a while.

What about you? What did you read in April? What are you reading now? What do you suggest I read next?

Fic: Love Him or Hate Him... -- Sports Night, Dan/Casey (for [info]sportsbackinsn)
Title: Love Him or Hate Him...
Author: [info]starfishchick
Notes Part One: For the 2008 [info]sportsbackinsn (Putting the Sports Back in Sports Night) challenge. The prompt was: Tony Joiner kisses Tim Tebow on the sidelines. (More notes at the end.)
Length: ~1600 words
Disclaimer: I own nothing, Sports Night belongs to people far more talented than me. Tim Tebow and Tony Joiner belong to themselves. I am absolutely not able to refer to Tim Tebow by only his first or last name. He is "Tim Tebow".

Love him or hate him, the Tim Tebow incident gives the crew something to think about. )
